Mike Deschamps

Michael Deschamps is an accomplished Operations Executive with over 25 years of experience in child and family welfare, human services, and operational management. He currently serves as Senior Public Service Administrator for the Illinois Department of Human Services, where he oversees statewide infrastructure, planning, and development for substance use prevention and recovery programs. Michael has extensive expertise in child welfare operations, contract management, and quality assurance, with a proven record of building partnerships and improving service delivery across complex systems. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker, he also holds an MBA in Public and Private Sector Nonprofit Management from Governors State University and a Master’s in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago.
