Denysha Crawford

Denysha Crawford is the Human Resources Director for the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, where she provides strategic leadership for human resources operations across multiple divisions. With more than a decade of experience in Illinois state government, she has led initiatives in talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational development, workforce planning, and leadership development.

In her current role, Denysha is leading several strategic initiatives to strengthen HR service delivery and organizational effectiveness, including the reorganization of the agency’s Human Resources department, the implementation of an HR liaison model at IDFPR to provide dedicated support to each division, and process improvements designed to reduce hiring timelines and enhance the employee experience. She serves on the inaugural State of Illinois Emerging HR Leaders Steering Committee and mentors emerging HR professionals across state government.

Denysha earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Grambling State University and is an alumna of Leadership Springfield. In 2021, she was recognized as a Springfield Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree for her professional achievements and community leadership.
